MSOE Men's Volleyball Prospect Camp - October 28, 2017

The MSOE Men's Volleyball Prospect Camp is designed for players seeking to improve their skills and understanding of the game while experiencing collegiate coaching from MSOE volleyball coaches.

Location

MSOE Volleyball Camps are held at the Kern Center. The Kern Center is MSOE's Health and Wellness facility.

Equipment

  • All campers are responsible for bringing their own equipment.
  • Campers should bring appropriate volleyball footwear and clothing.
  • Each camper will receive a Prospect Camp T-Shirt

Head Coach - Shane Reid, Men's Volleyball

Shane Reid, Head Men's Volleyball Coach Coach Reid has completed his second season as head men?s volleyball coach at MSOE. In his tenure, the Raiders have tied or set a school record for wins in a season twice, including a 20-5 record in 2017. His career record is 38-13 (.745) with a 28-4 league mark. MSOE has been ranked nationally for 19 weeks in his two seasons and has garnered six all-league awards, including the 2017 MCVL Offensive Player of the Year.

As the head varsity boys' volleyball coach at Arrowhead High School, 2012-2015, Coach Reid led the Warhawks to their first state tournament since 2005. While leading the Warhawks, he also saw his team earn the 2014-15 WIAA State Sportsmanship Award. He also has extensive club coaching experience, leading the West Allis Lightning Boys' 18 & Under Team to a national championship at the 2012 USAV Junior Championships in the 18-Open Division. His Badger Region High Performance Boys Volleyball Team also claimed a gold medal at the International High Performance Invitational in 2011. Coach Reid was also the assistant coach at Cardinal Stritch University, where he played collegiality, in 2007.

Insurance/Medical Forms

Campers must have their own health insurance. Each camper must complete the medical history/liability release form. It can be mailed, emailed or brought on the first day. Under no circumstances may a camper participate without completing this form.

Confirmation/Refunds/Cancellations

Registration confirmation will be sent prior to the start of the clinic. Participants will not receive confirmation if they register within five days of the clinic. No refunds will be given unless a doctor's excuse is provided. In the event of a clinic cancellation, participants will be notified five days prior to the start of the clinic. A full refund will be given.

If MSOE closes due to inclement weather, the Kern Center also will close and clinic will be cancelled. Snow closing announcements will be posted on www.msoe.edu. Participants also may call (414) 277-6763 to find out if the university is closed.
