Lacrosse Prospect Camp
TBA (Boys Only)Cost: $75
Location: Viets Field
Time: 2:30-5 p.m.
Registration Deadline: Open until day of camp
The goal of the MSOE Prospect Camp is to provide campers direct exposure to MSOE Lacrosse staff as well as the opportunity to receive positional instruction, a thorough Division III coaching evaluation, and above all, a clear understanding of the Division III student-athlete experience at MSOE University, both on and off the field.
The first portion of the prospect camp provides athletes with the opportunity to tour MSOE. Campers can take a walking tour of the campus and interact with current students and organizations. The admissions portion will end with the opportunity to connect with our dedicated faculty from a variety of academic programs and an in-depth look at the resources available at MSOE dedicated to preparing its students for success in the professional world.
The most exciting aspect of the camp is the opportunity for campers to showcase their skills in front of the MSOE Lacrosse coaching staff.
Head Lacrosse Coach, Sean Farrell
Sean Farrell is in his fourth season leading the MSOE lacrosse team and is looking to build on the progress and success of his previous seasons as he continues the task of building a program that had won just two games in four seasons prior to his arrival.
As a player, Farrell was part of Nassau County Community College's 2001 National Junior College Athletic Association national championship team after playing the 2000 season at Adelphi College. In 2002- 03, Farrell attended Stony Brook and helped the program make its first-ever NCAA tournament appearance. During his collegiate career, Farrell got his first experience with coaching during the off-season, working as an assistant for the Long Island Sting club program from 2000-03.
MSOE Lacrosse Camps are held on Viets Field. The stadium has artificial turf, LED lights and halftime rooms.
All campers are responsible for bringing their own equipment which should be in good repair.
