Sirny Named Raider of the Week

MILWAUKEE – Fresh off helping men's volleyball qualify for it's first ever NCAA tournament appearance with the winning kill in Saturday's match against Dominican, freshman Jacob Sirny (Brookfield, Wis. / Brookfield East) has been named as Ian's Pizza Raider of the Week.

Sirny played inspired ball over the course of two matches last week. First was a .600 hitting percentage performance in a 3-0 win against Lakeland. He also came away with 11 kills, four digs, and one block assist in helping the Raiders make it to the NACC championship game against Dominican. In the match against the Stars, Sirny once again turned in an impressive performance. The freshman had a game high 14 kills, one block assist and hit to the tune of .345. The 3-1 victory punched their ticket to the big dance.

Sirny and the rest of his Raider teammates are already in the early stages of preparation for their battle against Fontbonne in the opening round of the 2019 NCAA MVB tournament. The game, which takes place at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis., will have a first serve time of 6:30 pm.
