Mike Porcaro is in his fourth season as an assistant coach with the MSOE baseball team.

Porcaro is a 2015 graduate of UW-Milwaukee, where he was an All-American and league player of the year on the baseball team. A four-year letterwinner, he batted .313 for his career with 215 hits and 117 runs batted in over 192 games. In 2013, he batted .364 with 43 RBIs and was named the Horizon League Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-American Louisville Slugger.

Since graduating from UWM, Porcaro has gotten into coaching both baseball and volleyball. He served as bench coach for the Eau Claire Express of the Northwoods League in 2015 and coached two seasons as an assistant volleyball coach at Racine Horlick High School.

Porcaro returned to the field as a professional in the summer of 2016, playing three games with the River City Rascals of the independent Frontier League.

Porcaro graduated from UWM with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication and is currently the Coordinator of Club Sports at MSOE.
