Fulsaas Shoots +1 to Lead Golf at WLC Invite

WAUKESHA, Wisconsin – Senior Eric Fulsaas shot a +1 (73) and was just one shot off the lead in taking second place as the MSOE golf team competed at the WLC Spring Invitational Saturday afternoon at Morningstar Golfers Club.

The Raiders shot +34 (322) as a team to tie for seventh place in the 13-team field. Marian took first place, edging Lake Forest by one stroke at +15 (303).

Fulsaas was +4 (40) after the front nine but birdied three-straight holes to start the back nine to get back on track. He finished the round with five birdies total.

Senior Jarrett Kinney also shot in the 70's with a +6 (78) to tie for 16th. Sophomore Sullivan Schrandt was the next scoring golfer for MSOE, tying for 37th with a score of +10 (82). Juniors Andrew Ramirez and Reid Rumack were also counting golfers, tying for 68th and taking 70th, respectively. Ramirez scored a +17 (89) and Rumack finished at +19 (91).

Freshman Michael Barbeau and sophomore Charlie Paddock competed individually, with Barbeau shooting a season-best +9 (81) to tie for 30th place. Paddock tied for 51st at +13 (85).

The Raiders compete next at the Carthage Invitational Tuesday in their final tune-up for the final two rounds of the NACC Tournament next weekend.
