MILWAUKEE – Senior Eric Fulsaas of the MSOE golf team has been named a Division III Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America, the GCAA announced late Tuesday.
Fulsaas is one of 44 honorees for Division III. He posted a 78.90 stroke average while playing in all 20 team rounds this season. He finished with two top-five finishes and four top-10 showings at 11 events. In the classroom, he's maintained a 3.966 cumulative grade point average as a civil engineering major with a water resources and environmental engineering specialty.
The Decorah, Iowa, native finished fifth at the NACC Championships last month to earn all-conference honors for the second-straight season. He was also named the MSOE Senior Scholar Award winner at the Student-Athlete Recognition Luncheon last Monday.
To qualify for GCAA All-America Scholar honors, a student-athlete should post a stroke average under 79.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2.
