Freshman Mueller Fires Opening Round 72 at Kopka Invite

WEST DUNDEE, Illinois –Jacob Mueller opened on fire, shoots a +1 (72) Friday to lead the MSOE golf team in action at the Tim Kopka Memorial Invitational hosted by Carthage Friday and Saturday at Randall Oaks Golf Club.

The Raiders finished the two day event at +75 (643) and placed 18th in the 20-team field.

Mueller's opening round score was easily the team's best of the weekend, an honor he earned for the second-straight tournament to open the season. He finished out the event at +18 (160) over the two rounds, tying him for 66th.

Sullivan Schrandt was just one shot back in a tie for 71st place at +19 (161). He was consistent throughout the two rounds, shooting an 81 Friday and following up with an 80 on Saturday.

Nick Redmon and Bryce Lindsley each finished at +21 (163), tying for 79th place. Mike Barbeau rounded out the MSOE golfers in the field, tying for 98th place at +29 (171).

The Raiders will get right back out on the course Sunday, heading to Eau Claire for the two-day Frank Wrigglesworth Invitational.
