EAU CLAIRE, Wisconsin – The MSOE golf team took 12th out of 16 teams at the Frank Wrigglesworth Invitational Sunday and Monday at Wild Ridge and Eau Claire Country Club.
The Raiders, who played rounds on four-straight days over the weekend, finished at +67 (639) for the tournament. It was the team's second tournament of the weekend after playing at the Tim Kopka Invite Friday and Saturday in West Dundee, Illinois.
Freshman Bryce Lindsley got off to a strong start with an opening-round +5 (77) on Sunday and finished tied for 29th at +14 (157) for the tournament. He edged sophomore Michael Barbeau by two strokes for team-low honors. Barbeau finished with a career-low round of +5 (76) Monday to secure a score of +16 (159) and tie for 41st.
The final three MSOE golfers were separated by just three strokes, with freshman Nick Redmon tying for 57th at +20 (163), junior Sullivan Schrandt shooting +21 (164) for a tie for 63rd, and freshman Jacob Mueller finishing in a tie for 69th at +22 (165).
The Raiders are back in action at the Midwest Region Fall Classic next Saturday and Sunday at Eagle Ridge Resort.
