WEST DUNDEE, Illinois – Senior Sullivan Schrandt and sophomore Bryce Lindsley each carded +16 (158) over two rounds to lead the MSOE golf team to 14th place at the Tim Kopka Memorial Tournament Friday and Saturday at Randall Oaks Golf Club.
The Raiders sat tied for 10th in the 21-team field after Friday's round with a +34 (318). After shooting a team score of +38 (322), they finished at +72 (640) for the weekend.
Schrandt opened the event with the team's top score of the weekend, shooting a +4 (75) on Friday before a +12 (83) on day two. Lindsley, meanwhile, shaved four strokes in his second round with a +6 (77) to finish at +16. The pair tied for 45th.
Freshman Garrett Schultz also had a solid improvement between the rounds, carding a +8 (79) to improve by five strokes over Friday and finish tied for 66th at +21 (163).
MSOE's remaining three golfers each tied for 79th place at +25 (167). Sophomores Nick Redmon and Jacob Mueller rounded out the scoring golfers while junior Michael Barbeau was counted as an individual. Redmon did post a round in the 70s with a +7 (78) on Friday.
The Raiders return to action next Friday and Saturday at the Midwest Region Fall Classic, hosted at Eagle Ridge Resort.
