LAKE GENEVA, Wisconsin - Four different players carded both rounds in the 70s to lead the MSOE golf team to seventh place at the MSOE Invitational Sunday and Monday at Grand Geneva Resort.
The Raiders finished with a score of +48 (620) over the two rounds, which covered The Highlands course on Sunday and The Brute on Monday. They finished two shots back of Concordia Wisconsin in sixth place and seven shots ahead of St. Norbert in eighth.
Sophomore Bryce Lindsley shot a +4 (147) for the tournament to tie for ninth place. He was +2 on each course to lead the way. Senior Sullivan Schrandt tied for 26th place at +11 (154) with rounds of 78 and 76, respectively.
Junior Michael Barbeau had a strong tournament with the Raiders' 'B' squad, tying for 29th at +13 (156). He shot a 79 on Sunday and 77 on Monday. Sophomore Bryan Edler finished strong with a 76 on The Brute, carding a +15 (158) overall.
Senior Charlie Paddock shot +21 (164) to tie for 59th place. Freshman Josh Peterson was 77th at +34 (177) and sophomore Erik Wirtz 79th at +44 (187) to round out the attached golfers. Freshman Cooper Harrison and sophomore Alex Olson golfed as individuals, taking 76th at +33 (176) and 80th at +54 (197), respectively.
The Raiders are back in action Monday at Whistling Straits for the opening round of the NACC Championships.
