MSOE Golf Makes Most Of Bad Weather

WAUKESHA, Wis. – MSOE hit the links again this past weekend, looking to replicate their first-place finish from the Benedictine Invitational back on April 5th. Unfortunately, weather cut their schedule down to one event, but the Raiders handled the elements effectively and placed in the top five. The Red & White were second best in overall birdies on the links with 10, and finished par three holes with an average score of 3.40 on their way to a three way tie for fifth at the WLC Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

T-5th out of 15

Sophomore Bryce Lindsley (Green Bay, Wis. / DePere) impressed throughout the tournament, but he wasn't the only Raider to do so. Lindsley end the WLC Invite in a tie for eighth with a four-over 76. He played efficiently throughout the afternoon, dealing with strong winds throughout. Lindsley ended the one-day event with four birdies, a number that was third best in the field. Raider teammate Sullivan Schrandt (Cambria, Wis. / Cambria-Friesland) ended up leading the pack with a total of five through 18-holes, finishing in a tie with his teammate once again. This makes back to back tournaments that the duo has ended up with the same score after finishing off the 18th hole.

Bryce Lindsley – T-8th (76 +4)
Sullivan Schrandt – T-8th (76 +4)
Garrett Schultz (Sheboygan, Wis. / North) – T-35th (79 +7)
Charlie Paddock (Menomonee Falls, Wis. / Menomonee Falls) – T-45th (80 +8)
Michael Barbeau (Fond du Lac, Wis. / Fond du Lac) – 80th (92 +20)

Brett O'Shaughnessy (Suamico, Wis. / Bay Port) – T-51st (81 +9)
Jordan Wachowiak (Fountain City, Wis. / Cochrane-Fountain City) – T-56th (82 +10)

The team has just three tournaments left in the regular season, starting with the Carthage Invitational on Tuesday, April 23rd at Kenosha Country Club.
