Baseball was the first sport offered by MSOE in the current era of intercollegiate athletics. Then, in the spring of 1976, golf got its start. Forty-one years later, the man who led that first golf squad into action is still going strong as head coach of the Raiders.
Freshman Jacob Mueller put together a pair of rounds in the 70s as the team’s high finisher, with the MSOE golf team taking 10th out of 14 teams at the MSOE Invitational Sunday and Monday at Grand Geneva Resort.

Senior Eric Fulsaas shot two rounds in the 70’s in the spring portion of the 2016-17 NACC Golf Championships Sunday and Monday at Stonebridge Country Club to earn all-league honors as the MSOE golf team took eighth overall.

The start of league play is the theme of the week for many of the Raider teams. Baseball, Softball, and Men's Tennis will each get started. Meanwhile, Lacrosse and Men's Volleyball will look to keep hot runs going in their schedules. Track & Field (hopefully) and Golf are set for the beginning of their spring seasons, as well.
The Raiders feature a relatively light week of competition this week. Both soccer teams face tough league tests, while the Golf team is the first to face its NACC Tournament this season, starting the fall portion of the league championship Monday at Whistling Straits.
