MILWAUKEE – Senior Zach Woodman of the No. 15 MSOE hockey team has been named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week for Dec. 4, the league office announced Tuesday.
Woodman gives the Raiders the league's defensive player of the week for the second-straight week, while garnering the honor for the second time this season (Oct. 31).
Woodman made a return to goal this weekend and stopped 35 shots at Aurora on Saturday to lead MSOE to a 2-1 league victory. He's made six starts in goal with a 1.50 goals against average and .949 save percentage this season.
The Raiders are off until Dec. 29 when they head to the UW-Superior Tournament. They'll take on Marian on the tourney's first day.
