DePere, Wisconsin - The MSOE hockey team suffered a 5-0 defeat at No. 1 St. Norbert Saturday evening at the Cornerstone Community Center.

The Raiders (0-2) were playing a non-league tilt with the defending national champion Green Knights (2-0). The teams will play again in just seven days at the Kern Center in their conference matchup.

SNC got on the board just 3:27 into the opening period and took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. The home team would score two more times in the second period before capping the scoring with just under six minutes remaining.

Sophomore goalie Rock Boynton made 31 saves as MSOE was outshot 36-14 on the night. The Red & White finished 0-for-3 on the power play while St. Norbert was 1-for-5 with the man advantage.

The Raiders return to the ice Friday in their home opener, hosting Finlandia. It's also the first conference game of the season.
