MILWAUKEE – Senior Braden Andryk of the MSOE men's soccer team has been named an Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the second-straight season, the organization announced Tuesday.
An architectural engineering and construction management major, Andryk was an Academic All-America First-Team honoree and is one of 10 repeat selections this season. He has maintained a 3.53 grade point average and had another standout campaign on the field, earning All-NACC First-Team and all-region honors for the fourth-straight season.
Andryk led the Raiders to a NACC Championship berth with 16 goals and 12 assists for 44 points this season. He notched five game-winning goals and helped the team to its third title game in four seasons despite a No. 5 seed. He finished his career first in school history with 70 career goals and 17 game-winning goals. He is also second with 178 career points. Andryk is second in NACC history in career goals and third in points.
The award is the 29th Academic All-America honor earned by an MSOE student-athlete while Andryk is the seventh different person to be named an Academic All-American in department history.
