MEQUON, Wisconsin – The MSOE men's soccer team saw its school-record 12-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of Concordia Wisconsin 1-0 Wednesday afternoon at Fitting Field.
The Raiders (12-3, 8-1 NACC) were also handed their first loss as they were unable to crack the Falcons' (8-6-1, 5-3-1 NACC) defense.
MSOE was outshot 14-8 in the match and conceded eight corner kicks without forcing one.
Freshman Ron Marchionna made five saves in goal for the Red & White.
Concordia Wisconsin scored the game's only goal midway through the first half, with Will King converting off a pass from Owen Hanisko. The Falcons made the goal hold up and dealt the Raiders their first conference loss.
Despite the result, MSOE remains in first place in the NACC standings with a two-point lead over Aurora, which comes to Viets Field Saturday. The Raiders have already clinched a top-two seed in the NACC Tournament and a first-round bye that comes with it.
