GLENDALE, Wis. – There's no place like home. MSOE men's tennis closed out their home portion of 2019 this past Monday, easily defeating Concordia-Chicago 9-0 to go a perfect 4-0 in the spring season on their familiar surfaces.
MSOE was once again handed four straight wins out of the game, winning No. 3 doubles, as well as No. 5 and No. 6 singles by default. It wouldn't have mattered even if CUC was fully staffed however, as the Raiders swept the proceedings. Alec Dam (Caledonia, Wis. / Union Grove) and Bryan Roob (Milwaukee, Wis. / Martin Luther) were the most impressive pair out of the four person matches, handily defeating their Cougar counterparts 8-1.
On the singles side of the competition, three out of the four Raider players that had an opponent won by the score of 6-0, 6-0. Luke Nelson (Cottage Grove, Wis. / Monona Grove), Curt Norton (Cary, Ill. / Cary-Grove), and Dam were unblemished, while David Chon (Palatine, Ill. / Palatine) still won his match easily 6-1, 6-1.
The team will hit the courts again this Saturday, in what is to be there second to last day of action during the regular season. They are schedule to go up against Concordia-Wisconsin at 10:00 am.
