DELAWARE, Ohio - Junior Jerome Rhodes of the MSOE track & field team tied for seventh and earned All-American honors on the second day of the 2014 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships Friday afternoon at Ohio Wesleyan's Selby Stadium.
Rhodes cleared a final height of 6-9 to finish among the top eight and secure All-America honors. He is the first MSOE men's track & field All-American in school history and posted the best finish by a Raider male at the national meet. The winning height was 6-11 1/2, while fifth through 10th places each cleared 6-9 and were separated in place by attempts.
With his finish, Rhodes scored 1.5 points for MSOE and put the Raiders 36th at the meet after seven events were scored.
Rhodes joins Logan Andryk from men's soccer as Raider All-Americans in 2013-14.
