Horbinski Wins Steeplechase at Benedictine Relays

LISLE, Illinois – Junior Trey Horbinski won the 3000m steeplechase as a handful of members of the MSOE men's track & field team competed at the Benedictine Relays Friday and Saturday afternoon in Illinois.

Horbinski led the way with his win in a time of 9:40.93. He finished nearly four seconds ahead of a second-place competitor from Division II Lewis. His twin brother, Tripp Horbinski, was 11th in the event with a time of 10:18.35.

Freshmen Nick Bath, Blake Bostwick, and Noah Vaculik also ran in events at the meet. Bath took 34th in the 3000m with a time of 9:38.81. Bostwick was 50th in the 800m in 2:06.80 and Vaculik ran 4:29.39 in the 1500m for 53rd place.

The Raiders return to action as a team next Saturday at the St. Norbert Invitational.
