Men’s Track & Field Shows Well at UW-Platteville

PLATTEVILLE, Wisconsin – Sophomore Blake Bostwick posted a pair of top-five finishes to lead the MSOE men's track & field team in action at the UW-Platteville Select Saturday at Williams Fieldhouse.

Bostwick led five top-10 Raiders in the mile run and added a fourth-place showing in the 800m. In the mile, he ran 4:39.37 to take third place. He ran 2:08.05 in the 800m.

Senior Tripp Horbinski was fifth in the mile in 4:49.82 before three-straight MSOE finishers in seventh through ninth places. Freshman Arandu Huerta was seventh in 4:59.03, freshman Sean Fitzpatrick eighth in 5:03.76, and sophomore Nathan Arrigoni was ninth in 5:04.46.

Sophomore Avery Bobo posted the team's top finish of the day as the runner-up in the long jump. He leaped 20-4 1/4 for second place while sophomore McCoy Swanson was fifth at 19-6 3/4.

The Raiders boasted top-10 finishes over three more events, including a third-place 4x400m relay. Huerta, Fitzpatrick, Tripp Horbinski, and freshman John Franke combined on a time of 3:48.33.

Senior Trey Horbinski ran 9:14.84 for eighth place in the 3000m and sophomore Daniel Morton tied for ninth in the pole vault with a final height of 12-5 1/4.

MSOE returns to action at the Redhawk Invitational hosted by Ripon next Saturday.
