Men's TF Faces Stiff Competition at Rex Foster Twilight

WHITEWATER, Wis. - MSOE men's track and field team took on two of the top teams in DIII Friday night at the Rex Foster Twilight Invitational, coming back to Milwaukee with 23 more personal records taken down.

The Raiders track team came away with 10 top 10 finishes, led by Blake Bostwick (Whitefish Bay, Wis. / Whitefish Bay) and Jesse Lambrecht (Appleton Wis. / Kimberly). Bostwick placed fifth in the 800-meter run and came in seventh during the 1500 meter. Lambrecht participated in the same races, finishing eighth in the 800 and fifth in the 1500. MSOE's top finisher on the running surface was Will Demerath (Kimberly, Wis. / Kimberly), whose times of 2:02.72 was good for third in the 800 meter.

Hayden Heun (Port Washington, Wis. / University School) was impressive in the field events. The sophomore finished second in the hammer throw with a distance of 48.75 meters, and also placed eighth in the discuss throw. Alex Moran (Lindehnurst, Ill. / Grayslake North) and Keaton Harrison (Cambridge, Wis. / Cambridge) each brought back top ten finishes in the high jump, as Moran finished fourth and Harrison eighth.

Next up will be the Benedictine Invitational next Friday and Saturday (April 12-13), which happens to be their only two-day event before the NACC Outdoor Championships.
