LISLE, Ill. – Men's track and field headed into the NACC Outdoor Championships with one goal in mind: improve over last year. While the team was light on the timing events, their depth with their field athletes made up a lot of ground. The pesky team mentality allowed the Red & White to hang around with the leaders, ending up with a third-place finish, three spots better than last year.

TOP TRACK PERFORMER
Nolan Kozinski (River Hills, Wis. / Marquette) stood out amongst the rest on the track, locking down two top five finishes. Kozinski excelled in the distance events this weekend, coming in fourth during the 1,500-meter run, just three seconds off a top three placing. He followed that up with the 3,000 steeplechase, an event where he finished second with a time of 10:00.86.
TOP FIELD PERFORMER
The top field performers from this meet were the sophomore and senior standouts, Hayden Heun (Port Washington, Wis. / University School) and Miro Stojanovic (West Allis, Wis. / Hale). Heun solidified his spot as a leader next year with a first-place finish in the hammer throw, as well as coming in fifth during the discus throw. Stojanovic did him one better in the discus, coming in fourth, while just missing the top spot in the javelin, settling for second.
