Horbinski, Bath Named All-Conference as Team Takes Third

MEQUON, Wisconsin – Senior Trey Horbinski and sophomore Nick Bath were each named all-conference as the MSOE men's cross country team placed third at the NACC Championships.

The Raiders scored 83 points to edge Benedictine by four points for third and 13 points out of second place. It was their sixth-straight top-three finish at the league meet.

Horbinski capped his league career with his fourth All-NACC award, taking fifth with a time of 27:13.4. Bath ran seventh with a time of 27:22.2 and repeated his all-conference plaudits.

Sophomore Blake Bostwick and freshman Sean Fitzpatrick then finished back-to-back with Bostwick taking 23rd in 28:26.8 and Fitzpatrick following suit in 24th place with a time of 28:31.3. Senior Hail Kazik rounded out the scoring runners in 27th place. He posted a time of 28:48.8.

Senior Tripp Horbinski and freshman Arandu Huerta were also counted runners. Horbinski finished in 29:08.4 for 30th place and Huerta was right behind in 19:12.4 in 32nd place.

The Raiders now prepare for the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships Nov. 11 in Rock Island, Illinois.
