MILWAUKEE – Senior Caitlin Liddiard of the MSOE women's soccer team has been named to the Academic All-America Second Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced Friday.
The award is the first for Liddiard, who gave the Raiders an Academic All-American for the second-straight season.
Liddiard has resumed her goal-scoring ways this season after a year lost to injury and played her way onto the All-NACC First Team. She finished tied for third in the league with 11 goals and was fourth with 25 points. She hit her stride in league play, tallying 21 points on nine goals and three assists, which is tied for second in the league.
In the classroom, the Waukesha native has been just as successful in the classroom. She maintained a 3.77 grade point average as a biomolecular engineering major.
Liddiard is the program's third Academic All-American, following Tori St. Martin (Third Team) in 2015 and Kate Hermann (First Team) in 2012.
