Women's Soccer Falls at St. Norbert 2-0

DePERE, Wisconsin – St. Norbert scored once in each half to hand the MSOE women's soccer team a 2-0 defeat Wednesday evening at Schneider Stadium.

The Raiders (2-4) took 13 shots in the game and put five on target, but could not solve the Green Knight's (3-3) defense.

The home team opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when Ellie Lochner turned on the ball in the box and hit a high shot that found the back of the net. Madalyn Sanderfoot added an insurance goal in the 54th minute, following up on a rebound.

MSOE's best opportunity came in the first half, early on, when senior Melina Lynn hit the post.

Shots were an even 13-13 in the match. Senior Aly Loepfe led the team with four shots in the match.

Senior Mary McFee started in goal, making three saves on the night in just over 67 minutes. Sophomore Abbie Lorenz made one save in playing the final 22:50 of the match.

The Raiders are back in action Saturday, hosting No. 2 Chicago at 4 p.m.
