ROMEOVILLE, Illinois - Junior Jerica Kotarak took fourth in both the long and triple jump events to lead a small contingent of members of the MSOE women's track & field team in action at the Lewis Twilight Tuesday evening at Lewis Stadium.
Kotarak was fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 36-1 1/4. She also tied for fourth in the long jump with a distance of 17-6 1.4. She was not alone in the events, as Denfeld took seventh in the triple jump at 34-3 1/2 and Heineck was 22nd in the long jump with a leap of 14-5.
Denfeld also ran in the 100m hurdles, taking 10th in the preliminaries with a time of 17.32.
Bilskie competed in the pole vault, clearing a height of 8-8 1/4 to tie for eighth.
Heineck was set to throw in the discus and javelin events. The discus was canceled while the javelin event ran long and results were not readily available.
The team returns to action Saturday as a full squad, competing at the Beloit Relays. Remarkably, it will be the team's third spring event and its final warm-up before the NACC Championships.
