MILWAUKEE - Junior Jerica Kotarak of the MSOE women's track & field team is headed to her sixth NCAA Championships this week in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Kotarak will compete in the long jump for the sixth time and the triple jump for the fourth time. She has long held the school record for national meet qualifications and will be taking part in her ninth and 10th events on the national level. She was named an All-American for the indoor triple jump in 2016.
Kotarak heads into the long jump seeded seventh with a distance of 19-0. She claimed that qualifying distance on her final jump at the NCAA Final Qualifier last Thursday at the same facility as this week's national championships. Her best triple jump of the outdoor season broke a school record and claimed a league title for her at the NACC Championships at the beginning of the month. She is seeded 21st in that event at 38-4 3/4.
The women's long jump is Thursday at 3:45 p.m. and the triple jump is Saturday at 11 a.m. For meet information and links to live stats and video, click here.
