Women Track and Field impressive with a 3rd place finish

KENOSHA, WI-- Bianca Trombley, Maia Heineck, Michaela Baraglia, and Jerica Kotarak set the tone for the MSOE Women's Track and Field Team on Friday night as they not only won the 4 x 200 meter relay race they broke the school record.

In a time of 1:58.07 the ladies helped the Raiders score 86 points and finish 3rd out of 9 teams at the Ranger Relays on the campus of UW Parkside. These four women did not stop at that event either.  Trombley went on to finish 1st in the triple jump with a mark of 10.48 meters and finished 5th in the 55 meter high hurdles with Heineck finishing 8th in the 55 meter high hurdles.  Baraglia collected 8 more points for the Red and White, as she cleared 1.35 meters in the high jump to finish 2nd.  Kotarak earned a 1st place in the long jump with a leap of 5.40 meters and also finished 5th in the 55 meter dash.

Elizabeth Hearn and Lauren Hodal added points in the 400 meter dash, Hearn was 4th with a time of 72.05and Hodal was 6th clocking a time of 76.17.  The throwers also chipped in for MSOE as Brianne Harris finished 5th in the 20 pound weight with a toss of 12.75 meters.

The Distance crew aslo aided in the attack earning 24 points for the Raiders.  The Distance Medley relay team finished 2nd with a time of 14:15.38 to start of the scoring on the track.  Patty Bray ran the 800 meters in a time of 2:35.81 to finish 5th and Kendall Marks finished 5th in the 3,000 meters in a time of 11:44.66.

The Red and White return to action next Friday night at Carthage College.
