Women's Cross Country Finishes Fifth at NACC Championships

AURORA, IL-- MSOE women's cross country team was very impressive at the NACC Championship Meet, finishing 5th out of 14 teams, at Oakhurst Forest Preserve hosted by Aurora University.  

The Raiders were led by Patty Bray's 8th place finish covering the 6,000 meter course in 23:52.  Her place earned all-conference and she was only 36 seconds from her school record.  Kendall Marks was 17th for the Red and White, running the 5th fastest time in school history, with a time of 24:37 and Grace Kusik was 23rd with a time of 25:18.

Lexi Maruga ran a solid time of 26:17 to finish 37th and Morgan Balog ran a gutsy 26:48 to finish 46th to round out the scorers for the Raiders.  Jenny Leonard was close behind with a time of 26:58 good for 51st and Nancy Leon was 62nd with a time of 27:51.

The Red and White will take a week off and return to action on November 10th at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet, hosted by UW Eau Claire.
