De Pere, Wis. – While the women's game was called due to weather related issues this evening, the MSOE men's soccer team was two hours north taking on the Green Knights of St. Norbert. Unfortunately, the Raiders couldn't get any offense going and were shut out for the first time this season.
MSOE – 0
St. Norbert – 2
HOW IT HAPPENED
Overall it was a quiet game tonight between MSOE (2-1-1) and St. Norbert (3-1-0). Only seven shots found their way on goal between the two teams, but the Green Knights found a way to make two thirds of theirs count.
All the scoring took place in the first half with SNC netting the game winning goal at 28' thanks to a Max Censky pass that set up Caden Etzel to make it 1-0 bad guys. St. Norbert's would score again with 1:13 left before the half thanks to a Ben Prange shot that was angled to a point where keeper Ron Marchionna couldn't get it at the goal line. That made the score 2-0, and while MSOE took five of their seven shots in the second half, they still couldn't get on the scoreboard in their first loss of the young campaign.
The Raiders got blanked for the first time since October 17th of last year against Concordia-Wisconsin in what was their only conference regular season loss of 2018.
