MILWAUKEE - The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has announced its all-conference team and major award winners for the 2019 men's tennis season. This year's all-conference honors were distributed among four institutions with Milwaukee School of Engineering claiming two singles player and a double tandem honor.
David Chon (Palatine, Ill. / Palatine) and Luke Nelson (Cottage Grove, Wis. / Monona Grove) took home two awards each. The Raider teammates each earned a singles All-NACC award to go along with an All-NACC doubles team honor.
Chon was seventh in the NACC with a .647 winning percentage, going 11-6 throughout the campaign. Chon was a fixture in the No. 2 singles spot for the Raiders, easily leading the conference in that slot with a 10-2 record (.833).
Nelson accumulated 12 individual wins in the 2018-19 season. He earned 10 of them in the No. 1 singles position, leading the conference with his .714 winning percentage in the top singles role.
As a team, Nelson and Chon went 12-8 (.600), which was good for fourth in the No. 1 doubles position. Both players will return to the team next year and will look to keep accumulating wins in both their singles and doubles roles.
