Men's Track Impressive Once Again At Norbert Twilight

DE PERE, Wis. – Despite cold and windy conditions, MSOE men's track and field headed to St. Norbert's to take place in their twilight invitational last Thursday evening. The weather didn't bother the Raiders student-athletes, as they turned in personal bests and top five finishes left and right.

3rd out of 11

McCoy Swanson (South Milwaukee, Wis. / South Milwaukee) was the most impressive out of the Red & White field athletes at the meet, turning in three top ten finishes, including two in the top five. Swanson competed in both the 200- and 400-meter dash races, placing high in both. The senior took home fifth place in the 200 meter with a time of 23.79, and fourth in the 400 with a time of 53.08. Swanson also participated in the long jump, coming in eighth.

With three top ten finishes, freshman Tyler Brantner (Elk Mound, Wis. / Elk Mound) earned the honors this week. He took home ninth place in the long jump right behind Swanson with a distance of 5.76 meters. He did even better in the triple jump, as his mark of 12.47 meters earned him a fourth-place finish. Brantner also crossed over during the meet and was the top Raider's competitor in the 100 meters, as his time of 11.93 was good for another ninth place finish.
