MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The NACC league office announced today that Milwaukee School of Engineering junior softball player Amanda Manssen has been named position player of the weekend ending on March 3rd, 2019.
Manssen, the first player in the conference to earn the honor during the 2019 season, went on a tear during the teams trip to Florida to open the season. In the ten games played over the course of the week, she hit .583 (21-of-36), including four doubles, six runs scored, and 14 runners batted in. She went a perfect 4-4 on March 1st when the Raiders beat Cabrini 7-0, which was one of three games in which she knocked in three RBI's. Manssen also collected three hits against two other opponents, tallying a .605 on-base percentage to go along with a .694 slugging percentage.
The junior will look to keep her red hot bat going when the Red and White head back onto the diamond for a doubleheader against Carthage on Saturday, March 16th.
