CHICAGO – The Raiders women's soccer team arrived in the Windy City carrying with them a three-game winning streak and the hopes of pushing it to an even four. Unfortunately, that wasn't in the cards. However they didn't take a loss either when they played to a double overtime draw against Illinois Tech on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Even though MSOE (6-3-2, 3-0-1 NACC) didn't score in this evenings contest, it wasn't for lack of trying. Seven different Raiders contributed to the team's total of 16 shots, with Caitie LeVasseur pouring in ten all by herself. LeVasseur had four shots on goal, with Jessica Jefferson and Nicole Robb each having a shot turned away by Illinois Tech's (5-5-2, 2-1-1 NACC) goalkeeper as well. The Red & White outshot the Scarlet Hawks 16-9, including 4-3 in overtime. Abbie Lorenz did her part by turning away all six shots that she saw, playing all 110 minutes to move to 4-0-2 in games where the senior was in goal. With a third of the conference season gone, the Raiders have played some of their best soccer of the season over the past couple of weeks and will look to keep that momentum going as we move into the middle of October and beyond.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will focus on the new streak, one consisting of consecutive games without a loss, when they take on Dominican on Wednesday night. The Red & White's first home game since September 21st will kickoff at 7:00 pm.
