Women's Tennis Falls In Last Non-Conference Match Of Fall

OSHKOSH, Wis.  – MSOE women's tennis wrapped up its non-conference schedule for the fall season yesterday afternoon, taking on the Titans of UW-Oshkosh. Unfortunately, the shorthanded Raiders were only able to come away with one victory as they even up their season record at 7-7

MSOE – 1
UW-Oshkosh – 8

Katie Clements/Cierra Smith fall to Hodyl/Koppa (5-8)
Leah Becker/Hannah Marron fall to Leffler/Spicer (1-8)
Yuti Modi/Kim Baffin fall to Chitko/Kutnick (6-8)

Clements falls to Leffler (2-6, 0-6)
Marron falls to Koppa (0-6, 2-6)
Smith falls to Hodyl (3-6, 1-6)
Becker falls to Spicer (0-6, 1-6)
Baffin falls to Kutnick (1-6, 1-6)
Modi DEFEATS Salisbury (6-4, 4-6, 10-6)

Yuti Modi came away with the only win for the Raiders this afternoon, as most of the Red & White squad were playing out of position. Olivia Boden and Daniela Svedova were unable to make the trip, thus forcing players into roles they were not accustomed with. This didn't faze Modi however, who took the first set before having the second go the Titans way. She still battled and won the third set tiebreaker for the lone MSOE point in the match.

The Red & White will wrap up the fall 2019 season this weekend when they take on both Dominican and Concordia-Chicago on Saturday in River Forest, Ill. The two games, which have direct implications in the Raiders playoff hopes, will start at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
