MILWAUKEE – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its major awards and all-conference team for the 2019 women's tennis season Monday, with two Raiders being represented amongst the leagues best.
Daniela Svedova was the lone Red & White student-athlete to make the singles honor roll, but it was well deserved thanks to an outstanding season. The exchange student from the Czech Republic went 13-2 overall in one on one competition, playing every match in the number one spot for the Raiders. She also owned a 7-2 record in NACC play and led the league with a .867 winning percentage.
Svedova, along with doubles partner Hannah Marron, was also named as one of the best pairings in the conference. The two were nearly unstoppable when playing together, going 13-2 over the course of the season. The duo played all but one match together, with Marron appearing in one competition alongside Leah Becker.
The Raiders will pick up play in the spring for non-conference battles before heading into the NACC tournament as owners of the fourth seed. Their opponent will be Marian on April 27th, with the time and location yet to be determined.
